Literature Text

Arthur stared at the blank page in front of him. The dreaded white with not a single thing of it except the already given blue lines and red margin divider. It was a dreadful sight to see, that was when you were a writer. The lack of pencil or ink on the page was a saddening sight, especially when you had the idea but not the way how to express it all down.

With a soft sigh, Arthur looks at his pen, twirling it with his fingers in his right hand. He was tired of having to go through this, but it had always been a dream of his to become a successful writer. He even hoped to become one that would last throughout the ages yet he was very doubtful about himself and his gift of literature etiquette.

While he honestly wanted ti just write his heart out on the page it was harder then most thought. People would presume making up whatever you want from the top of your mind was an easy way to make a living, some even didn't even consider it as a real job. Boy were they deep in the wrong.

When it comes to writing, Arthur tried to find something in his own life that he could use as a reference so he could connect to with his characters. The more he could so this, the easy the feelings and emotions of the characters could be seen throughout every aspect of the story.

"...Damn block...." He mumbles to himself, glancing over at a clock. With every little "tick" or "tock" it made he grew more unnerved. It was boring and obviously irritating to sit in the same spot, with not one hint of progressing. He wanted the plot to be a mystic fairy tale style, but it was just troubling him so.

A writer's worst nightmare was obviously beating poor Arthur, Writer's block was never picky on who It got. The block was always open for  anyone who wanted to type or hand write a story, whether it was a novel or a short poem.

Arthur though was going to try a trick he had up his sleeve to try to outsmart the block. He would write his own fantasy for him and the girl he loved dearly. (Name), she was the one who had stolen his heart and all the feelings that came with it. You had no idea you had his heart in your grasps though. You  were just sure you two were close friends.

"...Maybe...if I just try..." He mumbles and looks at the paper again. He holds his pen tightly in his hand and presses its tip to the white sheet below it. Just a little start was all he needed and then he could use his own imagination instead of complicated feelings for you.

[ Arthur's Writing ]

In a far away kingdom there lived a magnificent woman who was more beautiful then any other girl in the whole country. The love of this maiden was also wanted by a man that honestly couldn't be more important to the townspeople, the prince Kirkland.

This man was such a high figure because his father's ruling would soon end and he would assume the crown and all the duties that came along with it. While the prince was nervous about his upcoming crowning, he was more concerned on the fact of having a beautiful queen by his side.

The thing was that the maiden, even though so amazing, was nothing more then a farmer's daughter. You worked the fields since you were an only child and always were up to work. He had felt lucky by just meeting you.

Another taboo thing about his love for you was that you both were secretly lover and not a single soul knew. It was your private secret that the both of you would cherish. Every time he got to sneak out and see your warm smiling face it made him feel even happier then the day before.

Tonight was no different then your earlier encounters, at far as they both knew. Prince Kirkland  was making his way to the one building where you both could relax and enjoy the love of one another. The one place that was always free this late was an abandoned building that had been used as an old school house.

You were sitting  in one of the few left over chairs and were waiting patiently for your lovely prince to make his way. How he ever fell for a girl such as yourself was puzzling ,but you did not question. He must of been just more deep then your average male. He had been more concerned on the real you and not your outer beauty, though he did compliment you often.

There was also the fact he was such a refined gentlemen.  You had been able to get some completely chivalrous as him. He made your every night you spent with him so much fun, you would stay up laughing together all through the long night. You would always ignore the worries gnawing at your head at times like that.

The sad truth was that you knew this could never be and it all would be a phase. There was no way that his family would ever accept you and your pauper status. Unlike their son, they needed someone of royal blood to marry their child. It was stupid and rude, but what could you do; just a simple farming woman who that lived with only her father?

You then hear the familiar tapping pattern on the door and your eyes brighten with pure glee. You rush over and yank the door open.

"Why hello th-" He was shut up as you tackled him with a warm hug. He smiled and wrapped his arms back around you, enjoying your soft embrace. You giggle softly and he looks into your eyes.

"I've missed you (Name)" He says and you just blush a faint tint of pink.

"I've missed you too Arthur, I wish I saw you more..." You trail off and he pulls away and shakes his head, a smile on his lips.

"Shh, just be grateful for this little time we get to spend together...." You nods and feel your heart pick up as he strokes your cheek, placing his hand to hold it. He gazed at you sweetly and you blush had turned fully on to a red shade.

"...Now, am I allowed to kiss my little (Name?) " He asks, holding in a chuckle. You nod and begin to inch forward. He leans down pulling your body closer to his. It only took a few seconds and your lips met in a passionate lip lock. You kissed, letting your emotions flow through both of your lips. It was as if-

[ Arthur's Writing Ends ]

"Hey Arthur, I'm coming up!" You called out from downstairs. He had yet again left his door unlocked and you had slid in. You had been wiating for him to realize but it took too long, so you decided to take matter into your own hands. You walked up to his room.

"W-what? (Name), why are you here?" He called out, quickly closing up his notebook and getting up. He went to his door and opened it, you both blink as you saw one another.

"..I came to see ya of course! And you're fun to bother." He grin, teasing him was always a good time. He rolls his eyes and you walk into the room, sitting on his bed. You had been here many times before since you two were childhood friends.

"I see....Can I get you anything?" He asked. You smiles and nods your head.

"Well, I wouldn't mind having a nice glass of water..." You trails off and he goes to the door.

"Fine, I'll be right back with it." He says and goes downstairs. You grin and take this chance to snoop around. You look over at his nightstand and are bored as it was only novels and school things.

"..so boring.." You mumble and look over at his desk, he had left his lamp on. You go over and turn it off and  look at a notebook shoved to the corner. You giggle and pick it up. So you shouldn't peek at your friends  things, but you were close so he wouldn't mind that mush right?

You open it up and are surprised to see an arrange of short stories. Arthur was a...writer? Such news both surprised and intrigued you. You smile and saw a page had a folded corner and you flipped to it. Just a little paragraph or two being read wasn't too much to ask for.

As you began to read you were sucked into it, especially when both of your names were included in the writing. Your eyes widened as you held the notebook. What in the world was this?! Why were you...a couple in this little thing? You got near the end and it suddenly stops as you two were kissing. Just then you gasp as the door opens with Arthur holding a glass.

"...(Name) I got-" His words were lost in the air as he saw you holding the notebook to your chest, a blush on your face. He was screwed, you had looked at his personal notebook.

"...why do you have that?"

"I don't think that's the most important question right now Arthur..." Your voice was light and he gulped. He sets your water down.

"...I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable...I just..like to write about erm things" You were still a little confused. You were a little lost, but not exactly uncomfortable.

"Things like how you feel..about people?"

"Y-Yeah...it's okay if you don't feel the same..." You blink, he didn't even ask how you felt and he was already assuming things. You put the notebook down and walk right in front of him.

"Listen, don't decide things for me, While it's true I have never thought of you ever being a boyfriend or even just dating material since you've always been my best guy friend...." Arthur waited patiently for you to finish, fearing the worst.

"...I think I was wrong. I mean you're the sweetest guy I know and you always treat me with respect even when I annoy the crap out out of you." You say with a smile. A small smile lights up his face as well.

"So what exactly are you saying love?" He asks, looking at you with a soft gaze. You rub your arm in a cute humble manner.

"..I guess I'm wondering if you would like to try going on a date with me and see how things go?" You ask, meeting his eyes.

"Of course, I'd love to go." He says and you grin like a happy idiot. You then grab his hand.

"Good! Lets find something to do then." You say with a cheery attitude. Who knew a day you had planned on teasing him about things like his eyebrows would end up in a date?
Wow, I feel so weird finally having to write in one of these again. I am very sorry that I have been neglecting writing for all of you, but now that it is summer I shall try to get in more one-shots for you all.

I don't know where I pulled the plot for this, I was only listening to Ellie Goulding and for some reason it popped into my head xD Oh well, I hope you like the Iggy story!
